Joinery

One of the little joys in life is opening a meticulously fit drawer to reveal a column of neatly cut dovetails. It is equally delightful—in its own quiet, affirming way—to know that wherever one piece of wood meets another, the two are held together by means of well–fitted joinery. Such joinery, which has become a touchstone of quality and a symbol of fine craftsmanship, engenders due confidence in the longevity of the piece.

I hand cut and fit every joint in each piece of furniture I make, ensuring strength and integrity for generations to come.
